Burwood Chamber of Commerce is an association of local businesses and business owners which is determined to:-
• Promote Burwood as a business centre of excellence
• Promote and protect in the interests of the business community of Burwood in their areas of trade and commerce
• Promote awareness amount the residents of Burwood and environs of the benefits of supporting the Burwood business community
• Promote balanced town planning development of the Burwood municipality
• Promote and encourage the provision and upgrading of transport, parking and pedestrian facilities in the Burwood municipality in general and the Burwood central business district in particular
• Make representation to government, local council and authorities, statutory or otherwise relative to any matter affecting or likely to affect the interests of the Burwood community
• Promote and support or oppose legislation or other measures affecting any section of the Burwood community
• Promote and support cultural and recreational activities within the Burwood LGA
• Engage professional assistance of any kind and to remunerate any person for services rendered or to be rendered in or about formation or promotion of the association or the conduct of its affairs
• Raise money by subscription and to grant rights and privileges to subscribers
